[00:00:00]
Richard Matthews: Hello, and welcome to the inaugural episode of The Casey Cease Show. My name is Richard Matthews. I’m doing a special co host today with Casey to get this show off the ground.
Casey, are you there?
Casey Cease: I’m here. I’m excited to be here with you, Richard. Thanks for doing this with me today.
Richard Matthews: Awesome. Glad to have you, I know this is basically just an introduction to the Casey Cease Show. So, what I want to start off with is why don’t you tell us a little about yourself, your clients, maybe the problems you help them solve and what your main offers are on the marketplace. And we can talk dive in and talk a little bit about the podcast as well, but let’s start with who you are.
Casey Cease: I’ve been served in non-profit world through vocational ministry as a Pastor. I’ve been [00:01:00] a professional business coach for almost 20 years. I have owned several companies, entrepreneur. I tell people I have ADHD that’s been redeemed, and so it’s a lot of things going along.
I’ve grown several companies in the last five years or so I’ve transitioned more towards ministry in the marketplace as opposed to working for a Church. I still serve the local Church and still preach and speak and do those types of things, but a lot of my day to day work is helping not only build my publishing company, Lucid Books, but also building my marketing agency, plantify agency, and I’ve been slowly building a coaching and consulting practice called Casey Season Company.
And so, the offerings we bring to the table are ultimately helping people connect with the Lord, with each other and ultimately with their ideal clients through various means of book publishing or marketing or really for my coaching clients.
There are people who have reached a level of success, but have had things kind of fall to the side along the way and are really wanting that next level of growth that isn’t [00:02:00] just financial, but it’s beyond that.
It’s finding the holistic purpose and meaning of life to really be able to connect in life giving ways and to take their business and their platform or whatever is important to them to that next level.
And so, it’s a combination of things that come together, and so, I’m really excited to start this podcast to really share what I’ve learned over the years, but also bring on some very interesting guests that I think would help people who are either looking to start a business, have started a business wanting to grow, people who are kind of transitioning to that next level of success where they’ve achieved maybe their goals that they had set out, but are looking for a deeper drive and purpose in what they’re offering to the world around them.
And so, very excited to be bringing that to the table and just sharing a lot of what I’ve learned along the way.
Richard Matthews: Awesome. So, what is your vision for the Casey Cease Show? What is the the value you expect to bring both your community, your audience, that kind of stuff? What’s the reason why?
Casey Cease: Well, the reason why stems back when I [00:03:00] was a small kid, my dad had a dual tape deck and then he showed me an old microphone he had, and I used to get on there and pretend to do a radio show. I had literally nothing to say, I was eight years old, but I remember imagining hosting a radio show and as things have matured over the years podcasting is the way to go.
And so, my vision is coming to fruition, you know, almost 40 years later, but really wanting to connect with people about life, about business, about relationships and bring that culmination together. A lot of our podcasts early on, we’ll be sharing the stories of other business owners and entrepreneurs on how they’ve grown things and you know, matured their career.
I’m excited, some of my early episodes are going to be longtime friends of mine who I’ve gained a lot of appreciation for and learned a lot from, that I believe the world needs to hear and I think my listeners regardless of where they find themselves in a stage of life, we’ll learn about ways that they can think creatively about starting or growing a business.
They can learn about how to deepen relationships and have meaning [00:04:00] in all of that. I’ll be talking some about investing because the last five years I’ve really gotten into investing in a lot of ways and not giving any financial advice, but really just sharing as we journey along together.
And so, I’ve been blessed over the years to have traveled and spoken to thousands upon thousands of people early on in my life and ministry, both in for profit and non-profit. And I’m continuing to speak and consult, but more specific times.
And really, as I entered into the second half of life, really want to get more focused and help people along on that journey. Not only learn from what I’ve experienced, but the experience of my guests coming on.
And so, while we will talk a lot about business and entrepreneurship, we’ll talk about growth and relationships. The whole purpose behind that though, is living a life that is really meaningful and leaning into a person’s purpose.
Richard Matthews: What strikes me about that, one of the things that I’ve noticed as I’ve gotten later into my own entrepreneurial career. If you get to this point where you realize that like, part of your work is giving back to the next generation, right?
On and helping them move through their entrepreneurial journey because you realize that like entrepreneurship is not an easy [00:05:00] road, but it’s also a road that once we’re doing it, it’s a required sort of aspect like our world wouldn’t work that entrepreneurs and so, as an entrepreneur who’s gotten further into your career, you realize that like, man, part of my responsibility is to give back.
And it sounds to me like that’s where you’re at in your business is you’re ready to take what you’ve learned and really give back to your audience. So, I know you’ve described a little bit about what you’re talking about.
You want to talk about just real briefly, give some hints and stuff about the type of content and the type of interviews that you have planned over, maybe the first year or so for what people can expect.
Casey Cease: Yeah, absolutely. So like I said, I’ve been blessed to know a lot of amazing people with dynamic backgrounds.

Are you ready to share it with the world?
Casey Cease: like I said, I’ve been blessed to know a lot of amazing people, uh, with, with dynamic backgrounds.
And so, I’ll be bringing people on who are into their rewire phase. So, one of my first guests is going to be one of my mentors named Rod Brace. And Rod has helped me start a nonprofit. He helped me launch Lucid Books, my publishing company.
He worked as an executive for a major hospital system in Houston and willingly was offered the CEO seat or to be considered for it. And he said, no, I’m going to retire and, but he says, I’m not going to retire, I’m going to rewire and he moved into consulting and coaching, he’s actually now launching a new endeavor.
And so, people like him, I’ll have people that went from working a small job for a state organization to building a multimillion dollar business. I’ll have people on that are in the process of [00:07:00] building something brand new. I’ll bring people on who have had hard situations in their lives and want to share how they’ve overcome that and how they’ve seen a lot of growth through those opportunities.
I’m going to be bringing people like you and I hope Richard, you’ll come join me sometime and share of your journey in life and business and growth. I mean, you live in a camper with your family of like 18 kids or something. I think you said, I don’t know, something like that, something mad, but you’re growing a booming company.
And so, I want to just share what I learned either so many times I meet people and I hear their story. I’m like, the world needs to hear that, and I want to be one of the many amazing vehicles out there to help share that. IN my little circle of the planet in this day and age to do that.
Another thing that you said that I think is very important, that I really believe in, it’s not that I’ve achieved all things and so I’m going to give back. as I’m going, I want to give back and bring people along with me because I was in a coaching session that I’m a part of, and I said, one of the things that was an aha for me was rather than complaining [00:08:00] about the future of our nation or our world.
I can sit around and complain about it, or I can actually try to do something about it and bring some positive stories and some stories of people overcoming or people from really hard backgrounds or hard situations learning and growing, because quite honestly, we can complain about it and, you know, Tweet about or excuse me, whatever X is called now, but get on platforms and complain, or we can say, Hey, I want to contribute something that helps people have a grander vision again.
I always love sitting with people who have an amazing craft or skill or vision, but they can’t imagine how they could actually step out and create something new or several people I’ll bring on have bought a business and actually made it into something even better.
And so, those are the things that I think I would really love to contribute for people as they think about, what we’re doing with our hands and with our minds and our bodies and our skill set and our gifts can actually be life giving and really not only to ourselves, but to those around us. And for some people, I know impacting the world for [00:09:00] good.
Richard Matthews: It’s definitely one of the things that like, I know, you know, you mentioned 18 kids, I’ve only got four of them, but one of the lessons I’m always trying to teach them is like, Hey, you know, as a child of God, you have a spark of divinity, which means that you have the ability to create a better future.
And so, that’s the work that, you know, we have to do is to go out and create a better world for ourselves, so I love that.
Let’s talk a little bit about just the nitty gritty, right? So release schedule, the boring stuff, where can people find you? What’s your release schedule going to look like?
What’s the website that people are going to be able to to go to, to find the the episodes?

I believe we’re looking for the week of March 11th, I think is our aim and goal as long as I do all my homework that your team needs me to do.
